Jellyfish Day Chocolates 1

All bow down to the jellyfish chocolates! I made these myself on Valentines/Jellyfish day. 8) Made the gummy jellyfish part with unflavored gelatin and strawberry-lemonade Koolaid mix. I was looking at a gummy recipe, but kind of made up my own.
For the chocolate I had originally been intending to just melt down some Hershey's bars in the fondue pot and just dip the canned mandarin orange slices in it, but that got burnt. 0_0 So I found some unsweetened baker's chocolate in the pantry and again made things up as I went. I only wish I had had the time to get proper candy-making sugar, since it came out a little gritty from the sweetening process, but it still tasted awesome. I mixed in cayenne powder and ground ginger, plus some of the juice from the canned mandarin oranges. After I poured the chocolates into the mini-cupcake foils I added a mandarin orange slice to the center of each.

When gummy and chocolate were merged together and came out of the freezer (to harden), they tasted freakin' awesome. They were even stable for the few days after (fir as king as they remained). ^^ I was so happy about how they turned out.

My little sister took the photos of the candy. (she wouldn't let me use the camera . >< )

I'm currently making a model of a gummy-only jellyfish candy, so that I can make a mold and mass-produce the delicious things.
