DUDES! I ACTUALLY DREW THIS WITH MY TABLET!! 8D
For those of you who are unfamiliar with me, I haven't done much at all with my tablet before. I'm really new to it. This is my first complete picture with a tablet, I have two random pictures in the sketched stages via tablet, I drew a chibi in Flash with it, and before that two crappy squiggly-line doodles. So this is actually a lot of progress in a short time, thus why I am pleased.
Made 100% in photoshop.
--Update--Finally got around to fixing the fire light. I'm not sure who noticed that mistake I made, but I noticed it the next morning after making this. It was on the wrong side...Anyway, it's better now.--
Planning to use this character for
when it next opens.

Very nice piece, and the lighting (having no recollection of the original version) looks good to me.
Her wing design is really cool looking. It almost has a tribal look, and I approve of the strong lines you've used throughout her costume. Mixed with the red/white/gray/black color scheme it's very bold.
Personally I think the overall appearance of the picture would be better if she had her hand out of her pocket, but considering this was your first go with your tablet I can understand the urge not to have to draw a hand. (Or maybe that's just me and the fact that I hate drawing hands. XD)
Overall, interesting character design and a wonderful first run with your tablet and because I'm commenting having seen your more recent work I know for a fact you just got better.
